2025 Week 35

  • I started transferring materials to the new storage, still have a lot to do
  • A larger (but young) wild boar has started to test fences more aggressively in the area, we were lucky to avoid it so far. There is a video of it letting a car pass very respectfully: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS3R5Yk0RDU (YouTube for some reason refuses to finish the HD size, whatever)
  • Finally, it rained, the tomatoes cracked, and the zucchinis suddenly grew to around 2kg, fortunately, we managed to give away a lot to the neighbors
  • I wrote the blog post about the vibe-tracker, and I talked about the process with my colleagues
  • I started a new AI experiment, now I only intervene in the plans during the process, the code (and the plans) are reviewed by Gemini, and Claude makes improvements based on its suggestions. I’m curious if something functional will come out of it in the end.

2025 Week 34

  • I made the long-planned leftover material storage on the side of the shed. I struggled with it because one of the boards was warped. Now I just have to move the materials…
  • we went to IKEA, fortunately there weren’t too many people
  • Budakeszi has been a city for 25 years, on this occasion a friend of ours (Marika Gál) had her paintings exhibited at the town hall, so we went to see them. I liked them.
  • I ran a bigger (25km+) track, in the Pátyi forest I wanted to see a few paths that I hadn’t been on yet, and it turned out why I hadn’t been on them: they basically don’t exist. They may have existed once, because the route can be seen - there are no big trees there -, but they are overgrown with bushes. However - maybe because of this - I met four herd of deer.
  • I put the raschel net on the frame above the regular bed
  • we are cooking tomato sauce, because quite a lot of our big tomatoes have ripened at the same time
  • we looked at shooting stars from a sleeping bag in the garden, we saw a few, but more satellites
  • Claude is enthusiastically refactoring the vibe-tracker code, so far it’s making surprisingly good progress.

Sport

  • running: 42.9 km / 993m / 4h 14m

2025 Week 33

  • it was terribly hot all week, it got a little better over the weekend, and on Sunday it finally rained a little
  • we put up the raschel net over the raised bed so that the tomatoes don’t get sunburned - the regular bed is still to be done
  • I continued my vibe coding experimentation, I subscribed to claude pro, so far it’s performing surprisingly well, it seems to be the best of the AI coding agents I’ve tried so far. I also tried the playwright MCP with it, it cleverly uses the browser for testing and debugging as well.

Sport

  • running: 44.8 km / 1015m / 4h 18m

2025 Week 32

Okay, let’s start weblogging again, let’s see what I did last week.

  • We tried to dig up an old, beautifully flowering bush - maybe a prunus triloba - but it had huge roots, so we just dug up the ground around it, even though our neighbor Ábel helped. In the end, we cut off a few branches and put them in a pot, hoping they would root.
  • We celebrated the company’s birthday on Tuesday evening at Tereza, they served huge portions, I could barely run home afterwards (even though I only came from Zugliget).
  • It got very hot over the weekend. On Saturday morning I mowed the lawn a bit, and in the afternoon we went for a run with Kriszta and Csabi, but on Sunday we weren’t up for anything (it was 36.4 °C).
  • I continued my experiment with AI coding agents, I gave a GitHub ticket to Copilot, and with the help of opencode and serena I made progress on my livetracker project.

Sport

  • running: 46.3 km / 887m / 4h 23m
